The Problem

My Approach
I was initially hired as the Chief Architect; after I joined, the CTO left within a month, and I was promoted to the Head of Engineering.
I conducted a rapid diagnostic, identifying the core architectural flaws. Instead of a complete rewrite, we led a targeted refactoring of the backend database and API layers, implemented a robust CI/CD pipeline, and introduced rigorous performance testing. We also took over management of the offshore team, instilling new development standards.
The Result
Within six months, the product was transformed. Post-launch, it experienced zero technical issues (CEO-verified), leading to a successful Series B funding round. The product became the company’s reliable revenue engine, not its biggest liability.
